Nancy Guthrie Update: Major Clue Emerges
Nancy Guthrie has now been missing for more than a month, and there is still no sign of the missing 84-year-old grandmother and mother of TODAY Show anchor, Savannah Guthrie.
With a $1 million reward now offered, authorities are hoping that a human tip could lead to the abductor and Guthrie's recovery. At the same time, investigators are scouring video evidence from Ring cameras in the area.
New footage unearthed by Fox News Digital could prove a major clue.
The New Video Shows a Car Driving About 2.5 Miles From Nancy Guthrie's House
WBIR-TV aired the new footage, which shows a car driving "about 2.5 miles from her (Guthrie's) house on the night she was abducted," the anchor said in a March 1 broadcast.
Guthrie vanished in the early morning hours of February 1. She had just returned home from dinner with her daughter, Annie Guthrie, and Annie's family. It's believed, based on an earlier video posted by her daughter Savannah, that she was in bed when taken.

"It's been an agonizing month," the anchor said in the broadcast. He pondered, "Is it even feasible that the car could even be involved?" referring to the new footage. That's unknown, but it's a tantalizing clue due to the timeline.
The Reporter Timed a Possible Path From Nancy Guthrie's House
Reporter Liz Kreutz, an NBC News correspondent, timed a possible path from Guthrie's home during the broadcast. It took her about six minutes. In the broadcast, Kreutz revealed that authorities are poring through "thousands of hours of footage amassed from Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood."
The sheriff told Kreutz that the new video is part of the investigation, which also involves the FBI. The "timing of when the car went down the road appears to match up" with the time that Guthrie likely was abducted at her Tucson residence, Kreutz said in the broadcast. That has made the car in the new video a potential major clue.
Still, she cautioned about the vehicle, "how relevant it will be is not yet known." According to Kreutz, Guthrie's pacemaker disconnected from her "phone that was inside the home" around 2:28 a.m.
Eight minutes later, at 2:36 a.m., a Ring camera captured footage of the car in question. The challenge for Kreutz was that she didn't know the route the person would have taken if the car carried the suspect and Guthrie. She attempted a route that "avoided the biggest intersections."
"We don’t know if it was the abducters," Kreutz reported.
The FBI & Guthrie Family Are Both Offering Rewards in the Nancy Guthrie Case
Savannah announced the $1 million reward in an Instagram post. "Someone knows how to find our mom and bring her home," she wrote. "Call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) — you can remain anonymous — or find a way to reach out to me."
Savannah added, "NOTE: Family reward of up to $1 million will be paid only for recovery of Nancy Guthrie, consistent with FBI criteria for payment of its reward in this case: https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/nancy-guthrie."
The FBI has also offered a reward. "The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance," the agency's website on Nancy Guthrie says.
"The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Phoenix Field Office and the Pima County Sheriff's Department in Arizona are investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, last seen at her residence in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona, on the evening of January 31, 2026," the post says.
"She is considered to be a vulnerable adult who has difficulty walking, has a pacemaker, and needs daily medication for a heart condition." Authorities previously released a disturbing video showing the masked and gloved suspect at Guthrie's door.
"This video show an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance. The FBI seeks information that will lead to the identity of this individual," the FBI wrote.
