USC forward Chad Baker-Mazara leaves program
By JAMES MADDEN
USC forward Chad Baker-Mazara is no longer a member of the program, the school announced on Sunday. He was in his first season with the program after spending four seasons at three different schools to begin his college career, with his most notable stop being Auburn.
The 26-year-old forward has yet to release a statement about the situation, but he has played his final game for Eric Musselman’s squad.
Baker-Mazara has dealt with various injuries this season, and suffered another one in USC’s blowout loss to No. 12 Nebraska on Saturday.
Dealing with a lingering knee injury, he recorded 14 points in 19 minutes before exiting with the injury in his final game for the Trojans. Baker-Mazara averaged 18.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in 26 appearances for USC this season.

With Baker-Mazara likely set on evaluating professional options, he was recently selected first overall in the 2026 BSN Draft by the Gigantes de Carolina in Puerto Rico.
After starting 18-6, the Trojans have lost five straight and are 18-11 with just two regular season games remaining on their schedule. They are firmly in the bubble conversations, but will now have to play without one of their top scorers for the remainder of the season.
