Host Kristen Bell Seemingly Arrives Solo to 2026 Actor Awards Amid Dax Shepard Divorce Rumors

While quite a few celebrities have decided to opt out of arriving at the 2026 Actor Awards, like nominees Ariana Grande and Leonardo DiCaprio, one everyone knew was coming was host Kristen Bell. But many noticed something: she arrived solo, without her husband Dax Shepard.
In case you missed it, Bell arrived in a truly stunning, sheer crystal gown from Georges Hobeika at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards, held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall on March 1, 2026. She did arrive solo, but she instantly became one of the best dressed of the night (and even posed with her Nobody Wants This co-star Jackie Tohn). See the photos below:
While there’s a chance Shepard may skip the red carpet and just be at the hall for the show, there haven’t been any sighting reports yet. Something else to note is that while Bell has hosted multiple years, Shepard has never walked the Actor Award red carpet before (but was there on-site together)! We’ll soon see.
For those who don’t know, Bell and Shepard started dating in 2007. They married after same-sex marriage was legalized in the United States back in 2013. They have since welcomed two daughters named Lincoln, born in March 2013, and Delta, born in Dec 2014.
Fans also resurfaced past troubling behavior on Reddit, with one asking, “Remember during Covid when Kristen recorded a multi-story post of a fight they were having?” Along with that, Refinery29 pointed out an odd exchange on Instagram in which Bell was taking their dirty laundry about a parked motorcycle.

Before these insiders, another insider told Star Magazine in Jan 2025 that Bell and Shepard’s “relentless” bickering is turning off many Hollywood pals. “Especially when you visit them at their home, they have no problem letting it all hang out. Sure, this humanizes them, but they argue all the time,” they said. “It’s a form of oversharing, and it’s not for everybody!”
Weeks later, insiders told Heat World: “Kristen and Dax are one of those couples where, especially when you visit them at their home; they just have no problem letting it all hang out. This makes them more approachable, especially when they’re spending time with their many non-famous friends, but the big downside is that they don’t really hide their bickering and silly, relentless arguments from anybody.”
They added, “It’s on full display, all the time, and it can be uncomfortable. Nobody understands why they seem to get off on the awkwardness of it all, but it can be painful to see them openly fight, and even take half-joking cheap shots at one another,”
