Brave driver stopped teenage girl from being kidnapped off bus
A brave driver who stopped a teenage girl from being kidnapped off a bus has been praised by police.
A 33-year-old man was arrested following what police are treating as an attempted abduction of an 18-year-old woman in Pontrennau, Cardiff, on Saturday.
South Wales Police said the teenager was followed off a bus before a motorist intervened.
The incident happened on the junction of Clos Nant Mwlan and Heol Pontprennau at around 6.30pm when someone tried to follow the young woman off the bus.
The man was arrested within a few hours of the incident being reported to the authorities, and he remains in police custody.

The actions of a brave female motorist driving a black car who stopped and intervened have been praised by police.
Officers have urged the driver to contact the police as an investigation remains underway.
Detective Inspector Laura Parsons said: ‘Incidents such as this one are extremely rare, and I would like to reassure people that we have arrested a suspect who is in police custody.
‘I would like to praise the woman who stopped her car to intervene. It’s really important that we identify who she is so she is urged to get in touch.’
