It’s Official: Hannah Montana Is Back — Here’s How to Stream Every Episode Before the 20th Anniversary Special

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, SheKnows may receive an affiliate commission.

If you can still do the Bone Dance on muscle memory alone — or have been on a Y2K Disney Channel nostalgia kick — Disney+ just gave you an excellent reason to start a full Hannah Montana rewatch.

On March 24, exactly 20 years after the pilot “Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secret?” aired on Disney Channel, the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special will premiere on Disney+ with Miley Cyrus sitting down for an in-depth conversation with Alex Cooper in front of a live studio audience. The special will revisit key sets like the Stewart family living room and Hannah’s closet, pull from never-before-seen archival footage, and trace how one teen sitcom turned into a massive franchise.

“‘Hannah Montana’ will always be a part of who I am,” Cyrus said in the special’s announcement, calling the “Hannahversary” a way to thank fans who have “stood by [her] for 20 years.”

Whether you want to relive the Jake vs. Jesse love triangle, Cyrus’ real-life godmother Dolly Parton’s turn as Aunt Dolly in “Good Golly, Miss Dolly,” or the record-breaking finale “Wherever I Go,” here’s how to stream every episode before the anniversary special — including options that are free with a trial.

When Does the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special Air?

  • Premiere date: March 24, 2026
  • Where to watch: Disney+
  • Format: Live studio audience special with Miley Cyrus interviewed by Alex Cooper, produced by HopeTown Entertainment and Unwell Productions.

The date isn’t random: March 24 marks 20 years to the day since “Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secret?” introduced Miley Stewart’s double life to Disney Channel viewers in 2006. While there isn’t an official trailer, Disney+ did release a teaser, showing a Ford Mustang with the vanity plates “HM 20” pulling up to the Sunset Studios lot. “Going back to where it all began,” the footage teases as “The Best of Both Worlds” plays in the background:

The Easiest Way to Stream Every Episode: Disney+

If you want one-stop access to basically the entire Hannah Montana universe, Disney+ is the cleanest option, as the streaming service currently hosts all four seasons and 98 episodes of Hannah Montana.

The dedicated Hannah Montana Collection on Disney+ also includes Hannah Montana: The Movie and Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, plus related extras.

There’s also a dedicated non-stop stream: starting Feb. 19, Disney+ is rolling out a continuous “Stream” tile that runs all four seasons, the movie, and the concert film in a loop — essentially a 24/7 Hannah feed you can drop into whenever you want to check in on Rico’s beach stand or the Stewart family kitchen.

If your goal is to rewatch everything before March 24, sticking with the Disney+ collection is the most straightforward way to do it.

How to Watch Hannah Montana for Free (or Close to It)

If you’re trying to recreate the “watch everything without adding yet another bill” magic of that free Super Bowl stream, there are a couple legal paths that involve free trials and careful timing.

Fubo

Five-Day free trial for new subscribers

Live TV service Fubo carries Disney Channel and also lists Hannah Montana as part of its on-demand library in the U.S., which means you can stream episodes directly through the service while your trial is active.

Right now, Fubo offers a five-day free trial for new subscribers on its main plans. Once you sign up:

  • Search for Hannah Montana in Fubo’s on-demand section to pull up individual episodes and seasons.
  • You can also check Fubo’s guide for scheduled Hannah Montana reruns on Disney Channel and record them with the included cloud DVR.

Five days won’t realistically cover all 98 episodes (that’s just under 36 hours of television at about 22 minutes per episode), but it’s a solid way to sample the series or power through your favorite arcs without paying up front.

Disney+

Limited-time free trials for new users

As of early 2026, Disney+ is among the services offering limited-time free trials — typically around three days for new users. Trial terms can shift by region and promotion, so you’ll want to:

  • Go to Disney+ and check current offers for new subscribers.
  • Confirm the exact trial length and any bundle details.
  • Set a reminder to cancel before the trial converts to a paid subscription if you don’t want to keep it.

A three-day trial won’t cover every episode unless you treat it like a full-time job, but it’s enough to revisit core moments — from the pilot to key episodes like “Get Down, Study-udy-udy” (yes, the Bone Dance) and other fan favorites.

Do You Really Need to Watch All 98 Episodes?

If you have the time and the emotional stamina, watching all four seasons and 98 episodes makes the Disney+ special feel like a true reunion. But if you’re trying to triage your rewatch before March 24, you can hit a few checkpoints:

  • Start with the pilot — “Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secret?” — to reset the double-life premise and that first Malibu bedroom wig reveal.
  • Revisit “Get Down, Study-udy-udy” for the Bone Dance, one of the show’s most quoted classroom episodes (and a good way to refamiliarize yourself with human anatomy)
  • Watch “Good Golly, Miss Dolly” to see Dolly Parton’s Aunt Dolly get pulled into Miley’s Jake Ryan drama.
  • Queue up the “He Could Be the One” arc in season 3 if you want the full Jake vs. Jesse saga before Miley and Cooper talk about the show’s romantic storylines.
  • Close with “I’ll Always Remember You” and the series finale “Wherever I Go”, where Miley’s secret identity unravels on TV and the show says goodbye.

However you structure it, the combination of Disney+’s collection, non-stop Stream, and a carefully timed Fubo free trial makes it pretty easy to at least revisit your personal highlights — whether that’s Rico’s elaborate beach schemes, Jackson’s running gags, or every time someone mutters “sweet niblets” — before Miley walks back onto that rebuilt set on March 24.
