Guest post: The enemy within: The western liberal

Apartheid. Genocidal. Settler-colonial state. Oppressor/occupier. On stolen land.

These are the current buzz words used by Hamas, a terrorist organisation, to describe the actions of the State of Israel as it defends itself from a medieval, genocidal, murderous death cult. 

But never mind all of that. 

In the west, we’ve been dumbed down so much that we now parrot the key communication messages of Hamas, an organisation that would take the very liberal women who shout its praises back to 7th century norms (translated to no rights and unimaginable cruelty), and who would brutalise and sexually torture gay men and trans people to death; the very same “Queers for Palestine” who sing its glory. 

Suddenly, Hamas is the “liberator”; the “freedom fighter” and the “beacon of light” fighting an apartheid, genocidal, settler-colonial, oppressor state. 

If that is the case, the protesters for Palestine should be fighting tooth and nail in support of the Persian people as they resist the apartheid, genocidal, settler-colonial, oppressor state of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Islam has colonised Persia, the birthplace of the ancient Zoroastrian faith, which was destroyed by the colonising Muslims. 

Yet, there is hardly a squeak of solidarity with the Persian people by the moralist liberal in the west, who by current counts are now mourning 30,000 dead at the hands of the brutal regime run by the mullahs that finance Hamas and other regional terrorist groups. We’re told that this is “propaganda” spread by Mossad and the United States, with Mossad allegedly paying USD$7,000 to amplify its “propaganda”.

But, when news comes out from Hamas’ PR, the western liberal gobbles it up like it’s the gospel truth, because it’s “verified” by the United Nations. Never mind that the U.N. is captured by “friendly countries” such as Qatar and Egypt that sponsor the Muslim Brotherhood and their genocidal charter to spread Islam by any means possible, globally. 

But let’s ignore all of this and blindly follow Hamas PR. 

Why? Why would liberal people in the west be so drawn to an organisation that would see their rights stripped, their way of life utterly destroyed and have essentially a global version of what they tried to impose on the people of Iraq and Syria when the Islamic State was seemingly in its ascendency. 

Because, allegedly, the west is evil, they have occupied and brutalised indigenous peoples and their elites have and continue to take them for a ride, favouring corporate profits over human life. So, let’s just burn the whole thing down and let’s “try out” a fun new system called medieval Islamic rule. 

Beware of what you wish for, because sometimes wishes do come true and if this wish comes true, undoing it will probably mean another global war, which no one has the appetite for, except the well-trained, financed and armed terrorist organisations such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and their ilk. 

Providing any sort of support to the Persian people is antithetical to the western liberal because they believe or have be conditioned to believe or both, that Islam offers a “way out” (of what, is unknown); that Islam is peace and harmony and can create a better world devoid of the evils of capitalism, democracy and everything that the western world stands for. The western liberal will argue to death (ironically) that Islam is misunderstood, that the atrocities that Muslims carry out are not prescribed by it, that the west has distorted the beautiful religion of peace for its own evil purposes and that Islam is the answer to everything wrong with the world.

And that’s why you hear crickets, instead of western liberals standing up for the Persian people. The mullah-run regime in Iran is the manifestation of political Islam when it faces no resistance. And it will come to a western country especially when it is supported by the western liberal who has next to zero understanding of the charter of the Muslim Brotherhood, of political Islam and of Islam’s march for global dominance since the 7th century C.E. 

The concept of secularism that the western liberal espouses loudly and proudly is the first casualty when Islam takes over. And should the mullah-run regime fall in Iran, the western liberal has no bulwark against the “evil west”, they have no fall-back plan to destroy the west. 

The Islamic Republic of Iran provides this false sense of resistance, perhaps bringing meaning to their lives and should it fail, it means that they have failed and that their resistance to western values and way of life has failed (they lament this as they sip their chai lattes and coffees with organic almond milk, while having their bacon and eggs; oh wait, no more bacon if Islam takes over). They have been indoctrinated by professors in our universities whose arrogance and smugness immunises them to rational thought.  

To support the Persian people in their time of need would mean that the western liberal would have to admit that Islam, especially political Islam is evil and has failed and that it creates a way of life for example, for women, for gay people, for minorities and anyone else Islams deems different, that they themselves would condemn in any other situation. And horrifically, support for the Persian people would mean supporting “genocidal” and “apartheid”, “settler-colonial” Israel, because Israel is the source of all evil in the world today, according to the western liberal that has consumed Hamas’ key messages. 

If the western liberal wants to know about real resistance, perhaps they should look at another country that has successfully resisted Islamic and western colonisation. A country that has consistently given refuge to minorities fleeing persecution like the Zoroastrians when colonising Muslims were slaughtering them, when medieval Europe was expelling its Jewish population and when the Nazis were committing what is actually a genocide against a race of people, India gave them all shelter, a place of refuge. 

India was also the victim of Islamic colonisation for more than a millennium with Muslims ravaging the country, forcing the local Hindu population to convert to Islam or pay the jizya; a tax forced on non-Muslims that was essentially being paid to keep them from being further persecuted or murdered by Muslims. 

India also symbolises resistance to 1,000 years of attempted genocide of its people by the colonisers who tried to smash its way of life, customs and religions; yet India not only resisted, it thrived. It even gave the invaders a special mention in its post-independence Constitution where they had equal and some might say special rights over others in the newly independent Republic of India. Two new countries were ripped out of India to create two new Muslim countries; one of which has waged wars and continues to engage in terrorism against it. 

With more than 50 Muslim-majority countries today, why doesn’t the western liberal question the colonising effects of Islam on those countries which were not-Islamic before the 7th century C.E.? 

Because they are virtual-signalling, moralising two-faced hypocrites who would rather swallow rusted nails than concede they were wrong about supporting the real apartheid, genocidal, settler-colonial state that is Islam. 

That’s why the western liberal is silent when the Persian people rise up against colonising Islam, because it is a choice. Because they choose who they deem to be the oppressed and oppressor. When the oppressor is the “right” sort of oppressor, one that is in line with their depraved sense of morality, against the “right” enemies”; and one that aligns with their self-fulling narratives they’ve convinced themselves about, they will support them, even if it to their own peril and the destruction of their way of life.
