Information bulletins now available for EA Junior Artistic Swimming and EA Junior Swimming Championships 2026 to be held in Munich
Information bulletins are now available for the European Aquatics Junior Artistic Swimming and Junior Swimming Championships 2026, which will be held consecutively in Munich.
The EA Junior Artistic Swimming Championships are scheduled from June 30 to July 4 and the EA Junior Swimming Championships from July 7 to 12.
Both will take place at the iconic 1972 Olympic Games swimming hall within the Olympic Park.
This will be the first time that the EA Junior Swimming Championships have been staged in Germany in the last 40 years, and the first time this historic venue will have hosted a combined European Junior Championships format for swimming and artistic swimming.
“It is a particular honour for us to host two Junior European Aquatics Championships in Munich in 2026,” the German Swimming Federation President David Profit and CEO Jan Pommer say in their joint welcome statement.
“This underscores our strong commitment to developing young talent and highlights Germany’s active role in shaping the future of elite European swimming.
“For the first time, these two important junior competitions will be held together in one venue – and what a venue it is! The historic Olympic swimming hall, built for the 1972 Olympic Games, was once the stage for legendary performances by athletes such as Mark Spitz, Shane Gould, and Roland Matthes.
“54 years later, this iconic arena is once again celebrating top-level achievements – this time with the next generation of European swimmers. These championships mark an important milestone on the athletes’ path to the Olympic Games of 2028, 2032 and beyond.”
In his welcome message, European Aquatics President Antonio Silva adds: “My sincere thanks go to the President of the German Swimming Federation (DSV), Mr. David Profit, for the successful bid to host this championship, and to the dedicated organising team whose commitment and professionalism will ensure excellent conditions for all participants.
“I would also like to express our appreciation to Germany for hosting two separate European Aquatics events in 2026, a clear demonstration of its strong commitment to the development and promotion of our sports across all levels.”
The 1500-seat facility in the Olympic Park features a competition pool (21m x 50m) and two warm-up pools (12,5m x 50m/21m x 21m)
For both Championships, hotel booking starts on March 10 and ends on April 10 and the visa deadline is April 30.
Deadline for final sport entries in the Artistic Swimming Championships is June 20, and in the Swimming Championships June 27.
The LOC is offering four different hotel options for participating teams. The majority of hotels are located within 30 minute of walking or shuttle transfer distance to the competition venue.
Further information about these Championships will be available nearer to competition time.
