Today’s weather: Mainly clear, light snow in mountains
Saturday’s weather will be mostly clear across most of the island, though light snowfall is expected to fall in the mountains, with a modicum of rain forecast for lower ground.
Temperatures will rise to 15 degrees Celsius inland, 18 degrees Celsius on the coasts, and four degrees Celsius in the mountains, where frost is expected to form.
Overnight, the skies will remain largely clear, with temperatures set to drop to six degrees Celsius inland, seven degrees Celsius on the coast, and a chilly minus two degrees Celsius in the mountains.
The skies will once again be mostly clear on Sunday, though light snowfall in the mountains and isolated rain in lower ground is once again forecast, while the weather is expected to remain thus through Monday and Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to remain stable through Sunday and Monday, before ticking up on Tuesday.
As of dawn, the depth of snow atop Mount Olympus was two centimetres.
