TEAMtalk say that despite interest from Spurs and Liverpool, it is Man United who are the ‘strongest pursuers’ of the 22-year-old, who they have identified as their top target to replace Casemiro.
The Red Devils regard Baleba as the ‘standout’ midfield target for the summer ahead of both Adam Whaton and Elliot Anderson.
United believes that the Brighton man would ‘slot naturally into the balance of their evolving midfield’ and are in a ‘strong position’ to win the race for his signature.
