THE LOWDOWN
Kick-off is 3pm on Saturday 28 February, as David Gray’s side pursue back-to-back away victories following last week’s thrilling 2-1 win over Celtic at Parkhead.
Deadline Day arrival Felix Passlack nabbed his first goal in Hibs colours; diving to meet a pinpoint Nicky Cadden cross at the back post to head home the opener on 24 minutes.
Benjamin Nygren would equalise for the hosts before half-time, though Hibs were given an advantage with 17 minutes remaining when centre-back Auston Trusty was sent off for violent conduct.
It would be 19-year-old loanee Kai Andrews who capitalised on 87 minutes; finishing low into the bottom corner after being tee’d up by Ante Šuto to score his first ever professional goal in memorable fashion.
We remain fifth in the Premiership table after 28 matches played after two consecutive league victories.
TEAM NEWS
Head Coach David Gray has confirmed that Chris Cadden and Joe Newell have spent the week training at HTC and are available for selection this weekend.
However, this match comes too soon for Grant Hanley and Jordan Obita, who are both progressing with their recoveries.
With the squad in a much healthier place, Josh Mulligan remains the only long-term absentee.
THE VISITORS
Dundee are currently ninth in the Premiership standings following an improved run of form since the festive period. Prior to Christmas Day, Steven Pressley’s outfit had picked up just 13 points from 54 but have since accrued 14 points from just 27 available.
Last time out, the Dark Blues followed up a 2-2 draw with Livingston with a crucial 3-2 away victory over 10-man Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
Kevin Nisbet fired the Reds ahead but Liam Morrison’s dismissal on 39 minutes allowed Dundee to take the lead by half-time through Simon Murray and Joel Cotterill strikes. Nisbet would level proceedings in the second half, before Ethan Hamilton found the winner late on with a thumping long-range effort.
Victory for Hibs this weekend would see us secure a fourth consecutive topflight win over Dundee – for the first time since April 2001. Our last trip to Dens Park occurred in August as we sealed a 2-1 win, before the reverse fixture ended 2-0 in favour of the Hibees.
