The Mets topped the Houston Astros behind four scoreless innings from a stellar Nolan McLean, who allowed one hit, walked one, and struck out six while flashing a roughly 2 mph velocity jump, sitting 97 mph and touching 97.6. Tyrone Taylor launched a 419-foot homer, Marcus Semien added a solo shot, and Robert Stock struck out five over three strong relief innings to seal it.

Freddy Peralta is in line to make his spring training debut for the Mets today against the St. Louis Cardinals at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, Fla. First pitch is set for 1:05 P.M. EST.
