Rihanna Teases New Music as She Shares Video from Late-Night Studio Session!
Are we FINALLY getting new music from Rihanna?!
On Thursday night (February 26), the 38-year-old “Umbrella” singer took to Instagram to give fans an inside look at a very busy night in her life, which included a stop at a recording studio.
The timestamped video began with her walking into a meeting at 9pm with her Savage X Fenty team to discuss designs and to approve of fabric samples.

“I still have to go to the studio after this and I have to make a Mardi Gras costume for my son after the studio,” Rihanna said as the meeting continued until almost 2 am. “Longest day ever.”
The Grammy winner then shared some footage of herself in the studio with producers around 2:30am, but she muted the audio to avoid spoiling the music she’s working on.
“We should have coffee someday, get to know each other,” she joked with the sound engineers. “Yesterday’s price is not today’s price.”
After revealing that she’s gotten no sleep, Rihanna returned home to begin “mom duties” at 7am, which involved creating a Mardi Gras costume for 2-year-old son Riot.
Once she completed the costume, little Riot modeled his look – which included an embellished jacket, bedazzled jeans, and heart-shaped sunglasses – as they hopped in the car around 8:30am to head to school.
Along with Riot, Rihanna and partner A$AP Rocky are also parents to 3-year-old son RZA and daughter Rocki, who was born in September 2025.
While Rihanna hasn’t released a new album in nearly a decade (her last album ANTI came out in 2016), she has worked on some some songs for movies like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Smurfs.
In an interview from last year, Rihanna opened up about motherhood, her life at home with Rocky, new music, her postpartum style, her new business passions, and so much more. Check out the highlights here.
