Central Bank of Cyprus launches tenders for IT security and cafeteria
The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) on Friday announced two new public tenders, outlining procurement plans covering critical IT security infrastructure and in-house service provision.
In its first announcement, the CBC launched Tender 02/2026 for the purchase of IT security services, seeking maintenance, system management and 24-hour monitoring of its Security Information and Event Management system for a period of three years.
The contract concerns the provision of Security Information and Event Management services on a 24-hour basis, ensuring continuous monitoring of information systems security incidents.
The central bank stated that the contract will be awarded through an open procedure, with the most economically advantageous offer based on price set as the sole award criterion.
The estimated value of the contract amounts to €370,000 excluding VAT, according to the announcement.
Interested economic operators may obtain the tender documents in electronic form from February 27, 2026 until April 17, 2026, as described on the CBC’s official website.
Operators are subsequently required to submit their contact details, including name, address, telephone numbers and email addresses, to cbctenders@centralbank.cy, quoting “Tender 02/2026 – SIEM” in the subject line.
The CBC clarified that it will bear no responsibility if an economic operator fails to declare or incorrectly declare contact details, resulting in the non-receipt of any additional information or clarifications concerning the tender.
Offers must be addressed to the CBC and deposited, together with all required documentation, in the tender box at Office 018 at the CBC building, 80 John Kennedy Avenue, 1076 Nicosia, no later than April 17, 2026 at 12.00 noon Cyprus time.
Submissions must be placed in a single sealed outer envelope or package containing three separate sealed sub-envelopes for the conditions of participation, the technical proposal, and the financial proposal, in line with the terms set out in the tender documents.
In a separate announcement, the CBC also invited tenders for the organisation, management and operation of its cafeteria at its headquarters in Nicosia.
The contract will likewise be awarded through an open procedure, but in this case exclusively on the basis of qualitative criteria rather than price.
Economic operators may obtain the relevant tender documents in electronic form from February 27, 2026 until March 20, 2026 via the CBC website.
They are then required to submit their contact details by email to cbctenders@centralbank.cy, quoting “Tender 5/2026 – Cafeteria” in the subject line.
The CBC reiterated that it will assume no responsibility where an operator fails to provide or incorrectly provide contact details and consequently does not receive additional information or clarifications.
Cafeteria tender submissions must be addressed to the CBC and deposited in the tender box at Office 018 at the CBC building, 80 John Kennedy Avenue, 1076 Nicosia, no later than March 20, 2026 at 12.00 noon Cyprus time.
Offers must be placed in a sealed outer envelope containing sealed sub-envelopes for the participation requirements and the technical proposal, as specified in the tender documents.
