Delays clear on M20 between Junction 2 at Wrotham and Junction 3 at Swanley after crash involving car and lorry
Traffic was held on the M20 after a crash involving a car and a lorry.
The accident happened at around 11.30am on the London-bound carriageway between Junction 2 (Wrotham) and Junction 1 (Swanley).
Posting on X around midday, National Highways said: “Traffic is stopped on the M20 westbound between J2 (M26) and J1 (M25) due to a collision.
“Emergency services and traffic officers are on scene.
“Delays are building with two miles congestion in the area causing at least 30 min delays.”
A police spokesperson confirmed officers were called and two lanes of the carriageway were temporarily closed.
The driver of the car has been taken to a local hospital. His injuries are not described as serious.
All lanes reopened at around 12.30pm.
The ambulance service has been approached for more information.
