Cyprus shipping chamber briefs members on tax reform
The Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC) held its February members’ meeting this week, during which members were briefed on the new Cyprus tax reform framework.
According to an update from the chamber on Thursday, the meeting provided an opportunity for participants to gain insight into the legislative changes and their expected impact on businesses active within the shipping sector.
For the session, the chamber welcomed Antonis Taliotis and Panayiotis Marinou, tax partners at Deloitte Limited, who delivered a comprehensive presentation entitled Highlights of the Cyprus Tax Reform.
The speakers offered a well structured analysis of the key provisions of the legislation that came into force on January 1, 2026.
They also outlined the practical implications for companies operating within the Cyprus shipping cluster, addressing how the new framework may affect tax planning and compliance.
