The FDA has recalled frozen blueberries sold across four states because of possible Listeria contamination. Listeria is found in water, soil, or food-processing plants and can grow even when refrigerated. The FDA has classified this as a Class 1 recall, which is the highest risk classification.
What States Are Affected by the Blueberry Recall?
The states selling these frozen blueberries are Michigan, Oregon, Wisconsin, and Washington.
The Willamette Valley Fruit Company sold the frozen blueberries in 30-pound bags, packaged for food service companies. They were not sold in grocery stores.
