Celebrate World Book Day at Liverpool’s libraries
Libraries across Liverpool will celebrate World Book Day with a series of free family-friendly literary events this March.
From performance workshops and author appearances to storytelling sessions and crafts, a range of public events suitable for children up to 12-years-old will be held at various branch libraries across the city, alongside additional dedicated sessions for local primary school pupils.
World Book Day 2026 takes place on Thursday 5 March and aims to inspire every child to enjoy the life-changing benefits of reading for fun.
This year’s celebration falls during the National Year of Reading, 2026 and promises to be bigger and better than ever, with all libraries in Liverpool taking part for the first time.
