'Heated Rivalry' Season 2 Will Debut in April 2027, Filming Begins in August 2026
We now have a firm timeline for Heated Rivalry season 2!
The show’s creator, Jacob Tierney, as well as executive producer, Brendan Brady, made an appearance on CBS Mornings on Thursday (February 26) to speak about filming, and when it will debut.
Jacob said, “There will be more Heated Rivalry on your TVs, like, truly, as soon as humanly possible.”

They noted the show will begin filming season two in August of 2026, with a debut slated for April of 2027.
The hit gay hockey series – based on the book of the same name by Rachel Reid – premiered on Crave and HBO Max in November 2025. Weeks after the show premiered, stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams officially announced that Heated Rivalry had been renewed for a second season and that they would be returning as Ilya Rosanov and Shane Hollander, respectively.
It was recently revealed that season two will focus on the sixth book in the series, “The Long Game,” which also focuses on Ilya and Shane’s story.
