Founded in 1971, Ottawa Bicycle Club has been a cornerstone of the cycling community in Eastern Ontario for over 50 years. Dedicated to providing high-quality recreational and competitive cycling opportunities for riders of all ages, the club welcomes both newcomers and seasoned cyclists. Whether you’re interested in group road rides, gravel adventures, women’s only rides, out-of-town tours, or competitive time trials, the OBC calendar is full of diverse riding experiences throughout the season.
OBC also stands out for their youth development and racing programs, which provide structured, coached cycling opportunities for young riders across road, mountain bike and cyclocross disciplines. These programs are designed to build bike handling skills, fitness, confidence, and a lifelong love of cycling in a fun, inclusive environment.
Becoming a member of the club opens the door to weekly group rides on varied terrain, out-of-town tours organized by fellow members, free open and women’s time trials, social events, skills clinics, and valuable bike shop discounts. The club also places a strong emphasis on safety and education, offering group riding clinics and training to help members learn and refine their skills.
Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, improve your skills, discover new routes, or simply connect with a like-minded cycling community, the Ottawa Bicycle Club has something for everyone, from youth riders to lifelong cyclists.
