Who Are The 'Russian Women' Bill Gates Admitted To Having Affairs With?
Bill Gates admitted to having two affairs with Russian women while apologizing for his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.
“It was a huge mistake to spend time with Epstein,” Gates, 70, said in a Gates Foundation company town hall on February 24, per a recording obtained by The Wall Street Journal. “I apologize to other people who are drawn into this because of the mistake that I made.” The Microsoft founder also claimed: “I did nothing illicit. I saw nothing illicit.”
“To be clear, I never spent any time with victims, the women around him,” Gates added.
Gates admitted that he cheated on ex-wife Melinda Gates with two women after a batch of Epstein Files released by the United States Justice Department in January included an unsent email alleging that Gates had sexual relations with two “Russian girls” and got a sexually transmitted infection.
“I did have affairs, one with a Russian bridge player who met me at bridge events, and one with a Russian nuclear physicist who I met through business activities,” Gates admitted on Tuesday, without addressing the STI claims.
In 2023, The Wall Street Journal accused Gates of having affair with Russian bridge player Mila Antonova. Gates and Antonova allegedly met at a bridge tournament in 2010.
Epstein later threated Gates about the affair. In a July 4, 2013, email to Boris Nikolic, Gates’ chief adviser for science and technology, Epstein named two women with whom he alleged Gates had affairs. The convicted pedophile claimed the women risked “becoming overnight sensations.”
“Bill risks going from richest man to biggest hypocrite, Melinda a laughing stock, pledges will disappear as a result,” Epstein told Nikolic.
In 2021, after Gates and then-wife Melinda announced their divorce after 27 years of marriage, The Wall Street Journal reported that Gates was investigated for a past affair with a Microsoft employee, leading to him stepping down from the Microsoft board in 2020. The investigation arose after one of the company’s engineers claimed she once had a years-long sexual relationship with Gates dating back to 2000.
Last month, Melinda once again denounced her ex-husband’s ties to Epstein. “For me, it’s personally hard whenever those details come up, right? Because it brings back memories of some very, very painful times in my marriage,” Melinda said in an interview on NPR’s Wild Card podcast.
“Whatever questions remain there of what — I can’t even begin to know all of it — those questions are for those people and for even my ex-husband,” she said. “They need to answer to those things, not me.”
