A Prayer For Protection When You Feel Spiritually Attacked
Finding peace starts with surrendering our worries to the universe and trusting that God’s guidance will meet us in the middle of our uncertainty. Best-selling author of Finding God Every Day, Rebecca Simon, reminds us to trust God’s timing, embrace patience, and lean on His presence through every season of life.
When you pray for protection, you’re not admitting weakness — you’re acknowledging that your spirit deserves peace. You’re choosing clarity over chaos. You’re trusting that God sees what you can’t, guards what you don’t notice, and fights for you in places you’ll never have to step into.
Let this prayer remind you that you are covered. You are defended. And you are not walking through this year unprotected or unseen. God is already standing between you and everything that was never meant to touch your spirit.
God,
I ask for your protection over my life, my mind, my home, and everyone connected to me. You know the weight I’m carrying, even the parts I haven’t been able to name. You know what has pressed on my heart, what has tried to shake my peace, and what has attempted to pull me away from who I am meant to be.
In your name, I ask that every form of evil — every attack, every influence, every plan that is not from you, loses its power over me now. Close every door that fear has opened. Break every pattern designed to hold me back. Remove anything that drains my spirit or distracts me from your purpose. Surround my mind with clarity, my heart with courage, and my home with peace.
Cover my steps, God. Guard the places I go, the decisions I make, and the people I welcome into my life. Let no darkness come near what you have blessed. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Turn every attempt meant to harm me into an opportunity for strength and testimony.
Thank you for being my shield, my peace, and my constant protection in the moments I feel it and in the moments I never knew I needed it.
Amen.
