Nancy Guthrie Update: Savannah Guthrie Shares Crime Scene Detail
Eagle-eyed observers have noticed that TODAY Show co-host Savannah Guthrie appeared to confirm a crime scene detail in her mom's mysterious disappearance.
Amid a series of ransom notes, detainments, and press conferences, very few details about the crime scene have come out. Although authorities released a timeline and photos of a suspect who was outside Nancy's Tucson home, they have said little about the specific scene inside.
In a video in which she announced a $1 million reward, Savannah Guthrie confirmed a detail of the crime scene: Her mom was in her bed when abducted.

In the video, Savannah said, “I’m coming on to say it is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed.” She also said that every day since has been "agony" for Savannah and her siblings.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos initially appeared to make the same claim in a previous interview. “I can’t think of the last time where in the middle of the night in someone’s bed, an 84-year-old woman disappeared on us,” he added to NBC. "We believe she was taken out of the home against her will, and that’s how this investigation is moving."
Podcaster Megyn Kelly noted the detail that Savannah Guthrie shared, adding, “No one has ever said that before. In fact, the sheriff said it early on and then took it back and said he didn’t mean to say that and wasn’t confirming whether or not she was taken from her bed.”
Hamilton Security Group founder James Hamilton, who appeared on Kelly's podcast, also brought up Savannah mentioning the bed. “Now, is she just saying that, as if to say, you know, sometimes in kidnappings, like a JonBenét Ramsey taken from her bed type of deal. And it’s almost like something you would say,” Hamilton told Kelly.
“But I’m with you,” he added. “I think she was literally, that Savannah knows something that we didn’t know, and now we do know, that she was taken from her bed.”
Savannah Guthrie Said in the Video, 'Someone Knows How to Find Our Mom'
"Someone knows how to find our mom and bring her home," Savannah Guthrie wrote in a caption accompanying the video.
"Please keep praying without ceasing," she said. "We still believe. We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home, hope against hope. As my sister says, 'We are blowing on the embers of hope.'"
"We also know that she may be lost," she added in the video. "She may already be gone."
She added: "NOTE: Family reward of up to $1 million will be paid only for recovery of Nancy Guthrie, consistent with FBI criteria for payment of its reward in this case: https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/nancy-guthrie."
Savannah also urged people with information to either contact authorities or find a way to reach out to her. "Call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) — you can remain anonymous — or find a way to reach out to me," she wrote with the reward announcement.
