NFL Team To Host Two International Games in 2026
The NFL has been rolling out team assignments for its 2026 international schedule this week. On Wednesday, the league revealed the host franchises for its three London games.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, who have been mainstays of the NFL's London slate for more than a decade, will host two matchups in England for the first time in the same season. The Washington Commanders will serve as the host team for the third and final London game.
Jaguars double dipping overseas
Jacksonville has played in London annually since 2013 with the exception of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic canceled all international games. That year was supposed to be the first time the franchise would host two games in England.
Instead, that opportunity will come this fall, when the Jaguars will play one contest at iconic Wembley Stadium and another at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
"Last season was my first experience in London as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars and my immediate takeaway was London is undoubtedly our home away from home," said Jaguars head coach Liam Coen. "We have a passionate and knowledgeable fan base in London, built over time and still growing, and we're making a positive impact with fans throughout the United Kingdom as well. That's something our organization, starting with our ownership, has worked very hard to achieve and takes great pride in further developing each season.
"With two games in London in 2026 it's going to be great fun for our fans in London as well as for everyone in Jacksonville who will be making the trip. I'm definitely looking forward to it and I know are players are happy to return as well."
The Jaguars previously played two London games in 2024, one as a home team and another as a visitor. All-time, they are 7-7 in international matchups.
