Cracker Barrel Just Added Healthier Comfort Food to Its Spring Menu. Here’s What’s New
Cracker Barrel, everyone’s favorite purveyor of Southern comfort cuisine, is introducing a new springtime menu focused on healthier, more wholesome, but just-as-delicious dishes.
"This new menu embodies the feeling of coming home that has defined American comfort dining for generations,” Cracker Barrel said in a press release. “The limited-time spring menu introduces lighter, more balanced options alongside returning fan favorites and Southern comfort classics.”
Brand-new items headed to Cracker Barrel locations across America this spring include the Smoky Southern Salmon. The entrée is a “perfectly seasoned grilled salmon” filet which can be enjoyed on its own, “paired with shrimp, or served atop a fresh salad.” There’s also the Farmhouse Scramble, “a sweet-meets-heat egg scramble featuring bacon, sugar ham, peppers, onions, and Colby cheese, finished with sweet and spicy maple syrup.”
If meat isn’t your thing, the Garden Scramble might be more to your liking. The Garden Scramble is “a veggie-forward option with roasted cremini mushrooms, spinach, peppers, onions, and pepper jack cheese over scrambled eggs, topped with diced tomatoes and green onions.”

If you’re still feeling peckish, you can try Cracker Barrel’s new Hushpuppy Dippers. Those “golden, crispy fried cornmeal hushpuppies” are “served with signature Country Comeback sauce” and “designed as a shareable starter.”
"Spring has always been a season of coming together, and that sense of connection is at the heart of who we are," said Thomas Yun, Vice President of Menu Strategy and Innovation at Cracker Barrel. "Our spring menu brings back the flavors guests know and love, while offering new ways to enjoy the comfort and care that make Cracker Barrel feel like home."
Fan-Favorite Dishes Returning to Menus for a Limited Time
Cracker Barrel is also returning two fan-favorite items to restaurant menus for a limited time this season. Many fans will be thrilled to see the return of the much-buzzed-about Fried Catfish, which is “two cornmeal-fried, U.S. farm-raised catfish fillets served with hushpuppies, tangy tartar sauce, and your choice of two or three classic sides.” And for those craving something (extremely) sweet are the Strawberry Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes. Those are “two pancakes layered with cheesecake filling and topped with strawberry drizzle, served with eggs and a choice of breakfast meat for a seasonal sweet-and-savory breakfast.”
And “back by popular demand” is Cracker Barrel’s legendary Ham Dinner, which is exactly what it sounds like. Guests may choose between sugar-cured or country ham served with warm buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins and paired with two or three classic country sides.
The limited-edition spring menu is available now for a limited time at Cracker Barrel restaurants nationwide.
