This Beloved 2000s Sitcom Reboot Premieres Today—Here's How to Watch
Reboot fever may be on the downswing, but one more case has popped up — and it's being treated at Sacred Heart Hospital. Scrubs, the beloved 2000s sitcom that aired from 2001 to 2010 (or 2009, depending on whom you ask) is coming back for a 10th season.
Scrubs originally ran for eight seasons on NBC. A controversial ninth season, dubbed Med School, aired on ABC with a new cast in a new hospital. The season was largely panned by fans who grew to love Turk, JD, and Elliot. But now, the original crew is back at Sacred Heart for another season nearly two decades later.
Where to Watch 'Scrubs' Season 10
While Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke are all returning to their original workplace, the show isn't returning to its original home. Season 10, like Season 9, will air on ABC Wednesdays at 8 p.m. For those who have kissed terrestrial TV goodbye, episodes will be available to stream on Hulu the next day. People who have Hulu + Live TV will be able to stream the premiere directly on ABC. Season 10 of Scrubs will have nine episodes, per Deadline.
Who's Coming Back to 'Scrubs' Season 10
In addition to Braff, Chalke, and Faison reprising their roles, Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley will reprise their roles as Carla and Dr. Cox. However, both will only have guest appearances due to schedule conflicts. Neil Flynn and Christa Miller will also return as the Janitor and Jordan.
Ken Jenkins, however, will not be reprising his role as Dr. Bob Kelso, as the 85-year-old has retired from acting. But that doesn't mean he might not make an appearance in the future. “Dr. Kelso will be back next year,” Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence told Deadline. “It just didn’t work out this year but it will next year.”
Sam Lloyd, who played lawyer Ted Buckland, will not reprise his role either, as he died in 2020. But that doesn't mean his presence won't be felt in the revival. "There’s a new bar that we all go to, and we named it Lloyd’s Tavern," Braff told Esquire. "It’s hard to do this show without him."
