Dem laughs in the face of Lindell TV reporter: 'Embarrassing yourself'
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) accused Alison Steinberg, a correspondent for Lindell TV, of embarrassing herself during a confrontation at the U.S. Capitol.
In a video published on Tuesday, Steinberg noted that Omar had recently said that President Donald Trump's economy had failed.
"But I think the American people really want to know how you went from a negative 65,000 before coming into Congress to over $30 million in just seven years," the correspondent said.
"My disclosure is public enough," Omar replied.
"Yeah, it is," the reporter admitted. "And so a lot of people now are looking into that and finding eStCru winery, a winery that doesn't actually seem to exist. Is that a real winery?"
"Do you all actually look at and read things, or do you just ask silly questions?" the lawmaker wondered.
"Well, it's listed in the financial disclosure. So can you explain it?" Steinberg remarked. "Because we have a lot of questions about it and things just aren't adding up."
"Why? Did you want to buy some wine?" Omar quipped.
"Probably not from you, to be honest," Steinberg snapped back.
"You need to prepare yourself because you can't continue embarrassing yourself like this," Omar said after another exchange.
"So I'm just a liar?" Steinberg wondered.
"Just prepare," Omar implored.
