UK Reform Party Warns of Visa Freeze for Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria
UK Reform Party warns visa restrictions for Afghan, Pakistani, and Syrian nationals if countries do not cooperate in returning illegal migrants.
Zia Yusuf of the UK Reform Party is set to announce Monday that visa issuance for citizens of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria could be halted if these countries fail to assist in repatriating “illegal” migrants.
The move is part of the party’s broader plan to deport over 600,000 undocumented migrants residing in the UK. According to GB News, Yusuf will also outline the party’s policies if elected in the upcoming general election.
Yusuf, previously responsible for internal affairs within the Reform Party, is expected to criticize the Labour Party’s border enforcement record.
The Reform Party’s migration strategy proposes offering £2,500 to migrants for voluntary flights back to their home countries or third-party nations like Rwanda or Albania.
Migrant deportees awaiting removal would be housed in former military facilities, with plans to accommodate up to 24,000 people over 18 months at a cost of £2.5 billion.
Yusuf’s speech will also emphasize a “zero tolerance” approach to Islamist extremism within the UK. Since Labour’s 2024 election victory, more than 58,000 “illegal” migrants and foreign nationals with criminal records have left the UK, mostly voluntarily.
The Reform Party’s hardline migration policies signal intensified border enforcement and potential diplomatic pressure on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria if cooperation is not secured.
