Re: Match Report: Norwich City (a)
All you’ve ever said about tactics is that we will definitely be playing three centre backs.
Clearly bollocks -- go back through my posts ... they're all there
We don't need a "No 10" - shouted down every time
Transitional football is more effective than possession football - rubbished by people quoting Wagner's false statistics at me
Possession football gives the opposition time to settle and organise - we need to create more "chaos" - apparently "not the Davies way"
We HAVE to play with 3 central defenders with one playing in front to the others OR play with deep lying midfielders - which is exactly what we are doing now - it is exactly what Sollis does
Here's just one example ...
"Rags
I'm sick of the whole topic ... imbeciles who know nothing about football chipping in about a mythical unicorn that wouldn't even fit into the system that Davies plays
Here's what i said along those lines on Saturday
No 10's blah blah blah ... not aimed at you this time but i'm sick of fans who know very little keep going on about no10's
Then again i'm sick of the obsession with possession football and people (like Tom Wagner) not being able to understand stats.
The teams that get promoted don't get promoted because they have the most possession. The biggest stat is that teams that go up concede the least goals in the division (Ipswich the other year being the only exception)
You can play transition football and still have the majority of possession - it doesn't need the "possession obsession" to get you higher possession.
No-one will agree because i've been pointing out the same flaws for over 18 months now ... and even now when the wheels are falling off because of the wrong tactics, the wrong formations people are still saying "no10 this, no10 that".
No !!! Plug that massive bleeding hole that has existed for 18 months when we lose possession when we are upfield .... the same bloody hole that teams couldn't exploit last year 'cos they were crap - but teams this year, who are better CAN exploit .... especially away from home"
