Team News: Aberdeen (A)
Joelle Murray makes wholesale changes to her Hibernian Women starting XI for today’s ScottishPower Women’s Premier League fixture versus Aberdeen.
The five alterations occur following our 2-0 league victory over Motherwell a fortnight ago at Meadowbank Stadium.
Noa Schumacher starts in goal at Balmoral Stadium, with defenders Scarlett Herron and Stacey Papadopoulos keeping their places in the backline.
Experienced centre-back Linzi Taylor makes her first start for the Club since our Sky Sports Cup Quarter-Final victory over Hearts on Sunday 9 November 2025 following a lengthy injury lay-off. She switches in for Ellis Notley, who is named amongst the substitutes.
Appearing off the bench versus Motherwell – following eight consecutive starts prior – Lauren Doran-Barr comes back into the defensive line. The wing-back replaces Rachael Boyle, with our Club Captain missing out this afternoon.
Our third change sees Kirsten Reilly return from her league suspension to captain the side. After scoring a stunning free-kick in her last appearance – versus Glasgow City – the midfielder fills in for the outgoing Ciara Grant.
Jess Fitzgerald remains in midfield and will partner today’s skipper in the middle of the park, while Kathleen McGovern and Kirsty Morrison – who both scored against Motherwell – start once more in attack.
Hannah Jordan drops to the bench as striker Eilidh Adams returns to the XI, while our fifth and final change sees Tegan Bowie replace Rosie Livingstone on the wing.
Grant, Notley, Livingstone and Jordan are joined on the bench at Balmoral by goalkeeper Rowena Armitage and midfielder Milly Boughton – as well as three further returnees.
Caley Gibb and Tiree Burchill are both listed as substitutes following their return from injury setbacks after missing five and four matches, respectively. Both players would make their first league appearance of 2026 if brought on.
The final option off the bench for the Hibees is youngster Jess Ramsay, who returns from international duty with Scotland U17s – in which she scored versus Wales – to make the matchday squad.
