Jack in the Box Has New Limited-Time Items to Celebrate 75th Anniversary
Jack in the Box is introducing a series of delicious, limited-time menu items in honor of the chain’s 75th anniversary, including the return of a fan-favorite burger.
Jack in the Box Celebrates Its Diamond Anniversary
Just in time for Jack’s 75th birthday, the chain is returning the fan-fave OG Hot Mess Cheeseburger to U.S. restaurants for a limited time. The oft-requested burger is the centerpiece of Jack in the Box’s Hot Mess Munchie Meal ($13), which also comes with two tacos, curly fries, and your choice of drink. The OG Hot Mess Cheeseburger (beginning at $5.99) is a 100 percent beef “jumbo patty”(seasoned as it’s grilled) garnished with white cheese sauce, shredded pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapeños, and onion rings. It’s served on toasted sourdough bread.
For especially hungry fans, Jack is also offering a Hot Mess Double Cheeseburger, which is the same as the OG burger but with an added jumbo patty. Both options are available in combos, which come with fries and a drink. The Hot Mess Munchie Meal also comes with a limited-edition toy to celebrate the franchise’s anniversary.
“To mark 75 years of doing things ‘the Jack way,’ this legendary comeback features a limited edition Meat Riot antenna ball included with every meal,” per a press release. “The Hot Mess Munchie Meal sure lives up to its name; it’s messy, indulgent, and proof that when it comes to late-night variety, Jack will always do it best.”
New Matcha Beverages Also on Offer
But of course, Jack always has another trick up his sleeve. In addition to the Hot Mess menu, restaurants are also debuting a limited-time series of matcha beverages. “Whether it’s the indulgent Matcha Oreo® Shake or clean, classic Matcha Latte, the lineup is built for every kind of matcha fan. No performance. Just legit matcha, done the Jack in the Box way,” the chain promises.
As the celebrations around Jack’s diamond anniversary continue, the franchise is also offering the Munch Better Meal Deal for budget-conscious diners. You can choose between a Jr. Jumbo Jack® Cheeseburger, Jr. Chicken Sandwich, Double Jr. Jumbo Jack® Cheeseburger, or a Really Big Chicken Sandwich, as well as a small fries and a small drink. Pricing starts at $4.49.
The press release also issued a “test item alert” for Jack fans in the San Antonio, TX, region, where the chain is currently trying out two brand-new items that aren’t available anywhere else in the world. First up are the Sauced and Loaded Onion Rings — 8 of Jack’s classic crispy panko-breaded Onion Rings topped with melted cheddar cheese, cheese sauce, ranch dressing, and bacon crumbles. And then there are the Hot Mess Sauced and Loaded Onion Rings, which are a spicy variation on the above dish. The Hot Mess Loaded Onion Rings come with eight of Jack’s classic crispy panko-breaded onion rings “loaded with melty shredded pepper jack cheese, cheese sauce, and sliced jalapeños.”
