One of Eric Dane’s Ex-Girlfriends Reconnected With Him Before His Death at 53: ‘So Much Love’
As many know, Eric Dane, known for his roles in Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria, passed away at the age of 53 from his battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) on Feb 19. Friends and family have come together to honor his memory, with many leaving tributes about how wonderful he was. But it seems that behind the scenes, he and an ex-girlfriend made amends before his tragic death.
It seems he and his ex, model Priya Jain, reconnected as pals before his death, with sources from UsWeekly giving more details about the sweet bond.
“In the months leading up to Eric’s passing Priya and Eric reconnected their relationship as friends. It was more important for them to remain friends” following their split last summer,” the inside source added, noting that Jain “has so much love” for Dane: “He was such a special person.”
The source added, “She has a lot of love for his family. [She] knows how hard this is for his daughters [and] feels for them.”
Now, Jain is “so sad and devastated” by Dane’s death, with the source adding, “She’s grateful they exist to keep his memory alive.”

Now, Jain and Dane’s romance was kind of messy. According to Page Six sources, Jain and Dane were actually together when he made his red carpet debut with Janell Shirtcliffe. Jain was reportedly “blindsided” by their red carpet appearance because “they never broke up.” They were first spotted together in the summer of 2024 and became “exclusive” in Nov 2024; but it seems they were all fine before his death.
At the time of his death, he was still married to estranged wife Rebecca Gayheart, and was in a relationship with director Janell Shirtcliffe. Before Gayheart, Dane dated actress Lara Flynn Boyle, whom he dated in the early 2000s, but left when he discovered she was pursuing Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson at the same time, per The Sun.
He also dated actress Alyssa Milano during their time on Charmed together, but it was a brief romance and they stayed close pals until his death at 53.
