Things God Is Not Asking You To Do
Sometimes we carry so much pressure without realizing it—trying to be perfect, trying to be strong, trying to have it all figured out before we’re ready. This is your reminder that God is not asking you to perform for his love or earn what has already been given freely. He is not asking you to carry everyone else’s happiness, to ignore your emotions, or to stay where your spirit feels small.
You don’t have to hustle for grace. You don’t have to compete with someone else’s calling. You don’t have to have the next ten years mapped out tonight. What you are allowed to do is come as you are—tired, unsure, healing, human. Even your scars have a purpose here. Especially your scars.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or behind, let this bring you a little exhale. You are already loved. You are already held. And you are allowed to take this one step, one breath, one day at a time.
- He is not asking you to be perfect before you come to him.
- He is not asking you to carry the weight of everyone else’s happiness.
- He is not asking you to “hustle” for a grace that is already free.
- He is not asking you to stay in an environment that dismantles your spirit.
- He is not asking you to figure out the next ten years tonight.
- He is not asking you to ignore your emotions to prove your faith.
- He is not asking you to compete with other people’s callings.
- He is not asking you to hide your scars; he wants to use them.
- He is not asking you to earn his love. You already have it.
