Trump Reveals Unexpected Question Nicki Minaj 'Didn't Want' to Answer While Commenting on Her Appearance

Donald Trump shared a surprising detail about his conversation with Nicki Minaj.

The 79-year-old president took the stage to speak at a Black History Month reception hosted by the White House on Wednesday (February 18).

While speaking to an assembled audience, he referenced the 43-year-old rapper, who came out as his “No. 1 fan” during a January summit.

While commenting on her appearance, Trump revealed that he asked her a surprising question about herself that she “didn’t want to get into.”

“How about Nicki Minaj? Do we love Nicki Minaj?” he asked as the crowd cheered. “I love Nicki Minaj. She was here a couple of weeks ago. She’s so beautiful. Her skin… So beautiful.”

Continuing, Trump said, “Her nails are like that long. I said, ‘Nicki are they real?’ She didn’t want to get into that.”

“But she was so beautiful and so great. And she gets it, more importantly, frankly. She gets it,” he said before moving on.

Minaj has recently been vocal about her support for the Republican leader. In December 2025, she said that she “loves” him while joining Erika Kirk at a Turning Point USA event that month.

While at the event, Minaj also made a very awkward comment that made the crowd go silent.
