Notice of Swim Ireland AGM 2026
NOTICE OF: SWIM IRELAND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) 2026 VIA ZOOM
TUESDAY 28 APRIL 2026
Dear Secretary,
Notice is hereby given that the Swim Ireland Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday 28th April 2026 on the Zoom Virtual Platform.
The AGM is an important date in the Swim Ireland calendar, and I would ask Club Secretaries to ensure that this notification is passed on to all club members. Several important elections will take place at the AGM, including the election of the Swim Ireland Board of Directors. Notice will be issued shortly to all Clubs in relation to the procedures and deadlines for the submission of nominations for vacant roles on the Swim Ireland Board. A detailed AGM Report, which will include information on Swim Ireland Audited Financial Statements 2025, AGM timetable, Motions/Recommendations, Elections and Reports, will also be sent to all Clubs in advance of the AGM.
In the interim, we are seeking Motions/Recommendations for consideration by the Membership at the AGM. Each Club is permitted to submit Motions/Recommendations for consideration provided that the following procedures are complied with:
- Recommendations must be in typed format and must be submitted on behalf of the Club by the Club Secretary.
- Any Motions/Recommendations proposing changes or amendments to the Swim Ireland Constitution must make specific reference to the Article/s in question and outline any impact on any other Article/s. The Board will consider any submissions pursuant to the relevant Article of the Swim Ireland Constitution.
- Submissions must be sent by email to sarahkelly@swimireland.ie and must be received by 5.00pm on Monday 16th March.
If you have any queries on any of the above information, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you virtually to the AGM. Further details will follow in due course on how to register delegates.
Sincerely,
On behalf of the Board of Swim Ireland,
Sarah Kelly
Operations Manager
