Two men die in front of shoppers at same Asda store hours hours apart
Two men died in front of horrified shoppers in separate incidents just hours apart at the same Asda.
Emergency crews first rushed to the supermarket in West Swindon shortly before 5pm last Friday, February 13.
They found a man in cardiac arrest following a medical incident but could not revive him. Customers were asked to leave the store, and it was temporarily closed following the tragedy.
But barely 48 hours later, when the store had been reopened, police and paramedics were called back after a man in his 70s suffered a severe medical episode.
He too died at the scene a short while later on Sunday morning.

Police have since confirmed neither death is being treated as suspicious or related.
Asda has sent its ‘heartfelt condolences’ to the families of both men.
The supermarket says it continues to support its staff, who were praised for their quick response.
A spokesperson for Asda told the Swindon Advertiser: ‘Our heartfelt condolences and thoughts are with the loved ones of the two men who sadly passed away following separate medical incidents at our West Swindon store in recent days.
‘We continue to support our colleagues after what has been a very difficult few days, and we would like to thank them and the emergency services for their response under the circumstances.
‘We’re grateful to our customers for their understanding during this time.’
