Travel experts / advice (4 replies)
I know we have a resident travel expert but can't remember who?
We are looking to do a Thailand island hopping trip next year and have been getting some quotes together. The best quote comes from a company called Bayfinch Holidays Uk Limited. On researching them they have lots of positive reviews BUT they have only been trading 3 years, they have minimal registered assets etc. The other concern is that they don't have their own ATOL registration. Our ATOL cover will be provided by another company, Brightsun Travel, who have a long trading history and agion positive reviews. When I questioned the ATOL cover they said that as a new agency there is a requirement to work under a ATOL - registered company for 2 years while maintaing excellent customer reviews before qualifying for their own ATOL registration. Does anyone know if this is true? They are members of Protected Trust Services which I believe protects for non-flight elements such as hotels etc.
I suppose the 'if it sounds too good to be true' saying is interfering with my thinking BUT if they are legit then I'd hate us to miss out on what appears a bargain.
Apologies for the long post but can anybody offer knowledgable advice please?
