What Allegri told Fabregas in heated post-match clash: ‘You are a kid’
More details emerge about the confrontation between Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri and Como’s Cesc Fabregas after last night’s Serie A match at San Siro: ‘You are a kid who only started coaching the day before yesterday,’ the Rossoneri boss reportedly said.
There was bad blood between Allegri and Fabregas after a 1-1 draw at San Siro last night.
Tension between Fabregas and Milan
Fabregas infuriated Milan in the second half when he pulled Alexis Saelmaekers’ shirt from the touchline while the game was ongoing. The referee didn’t see it, but Allegri did, and protests led to a red card for the Tuscan tactician.
Fabregas apologised in a post-match interview, while Allegri joked: “Next time I see someone run past me, I’ll just go into a sliding tackle.”
It wasn’t, however, the end of the dispute as the pair crossed paths again before a post-match press conference.
What Allegri told Fabregas after Milan 1-1 Como
As reported by TMW and other media, Allegri’s remarks were audible to reporters waiting in the press room.
“You are a child, you are an idiot, you are a kid who only started coaching the day before yesterday,” Allegri reportedly said, though Fabregas’ reply wasn’t heard.
Allegri and Fabregas had already argued after the reverse fixture last month when the Rossoneri secured a 3-1 away win.
