Green Bay head coach Doug Gottlieb suspended following post-game comments

Green Bay will be without its head coach in its next game following a fiery post-game press conference on Sunday.
Head coach Doug Gottlieb was suspended one game for his comments after a 75-72 loss to Milwaukee.
“I understand if you are not calling that, that’s fine you have the exact same play at both ends in the last play of the game, the exact same f*cking play,” Gottlieb said on Sunday. “So I need the new commissioner if the Horizon League to explain to me what a technical foul is when I don’t leave the box, I don’t curse [and] I’m not demonstrative.”
Gottlieb has since expressed his disappointment in his own comments towards the Horizon League.
“I’d like to apologize to the Horizon League and the officials for my disparaging comments following Sunday’s game,” he said in a statement on Wednesday. “I understand and appreciate how difficult their job is, and respect what they do for the sport of basketball. I will better moving forward.”
Green Bay’s next game is against Oakland on Friday Feb. 20.
