Shia LeBoeuf Was Allegedly Arrested for Assaulting Two Men in New Orleans
On Tuesday, Variety reported that the New Orleans Police Department arrested LeBeouf for "reportedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasing[ly] aggressive" during Mardi Gras celebrations on Royal Street.
The department also explained that LeBeouf had allegedly punched the first victim several times after being removed from the property, before punching another person in the nose "with closed fists."
As a result, LeBoeuf will face two charges of simple battery, with a hearing reportedly scheduled for March 19. He was released from custody on Tuesday shortly after being arrested.
The incident comes less than a year after Englsish singer-songwriter FKA Twigs' lawsuit against LeBoeuf for sexual assault and battery was settled. The actor has also previously faced charged of public intoxication and disorderly conduct, which resulted in court-ordered rehabilitation.
Despite the lack of context, many fans have speculated that LeBoeuf's social media post is an indication that he does not agree with the charges he's facing, which could potentially lead to another dispute in court for the actor.
