Jumbo deaths averted with installation of AI towers
Rourkela forest division has successfully averted train-elephant collisions for a year with AI-enabled protection towers, the first in Odisha. The system issued 880 alerts, preventing 46 incidents and saving approximately 270 elephants. This technology marks a significant step towards wildlife conservation and coexistence.
