The new Sezzle Mobile plan includes unlimited 5G data, unlimited talk and text, unlimited HD streaming, Canada and Mexico roaming, and instant eSIM activation in the app, the company said in a Wednesday (Feb. 18) press release. It is available to Sezzle Anywhere subscribers for $29.99 per month, excluding taxes and fees.
Sezzle Mobile is powered by embedded connectivity provider Gigs and runs on the AT&T network, according to the release. It is fully integrated into the Sezzle app, so users can manage their mobile service alongside the app’s other tools.
The mobile plan joins the point-of-sale financing, digital payment services, shopping tools and financial literacy program already offered on the Sezzle app, per the release.
“With Sezzle Mobile, we’re extending our platform into another essential category by offering a straightforward mobile plan with transparent pricing and dependable coverage,” Sezzle CEO and Co-founder Charlie Youakim said in the release. “It’s the next evolution of how we help users manage their financial journeys while providing savings on essential services, all in one place.”
Sezzle said in May that during the previous quarter, it added rolled out new features such as a Pay-in-5 beta program; enhanced shopping tools, including price comparison, wish lists and auto-applied coupons; and the Money IQ financial education module.
The company said at the time that these initiatives are designed to personalize the shopping experience, boost user retention and reinforce Sezzle’s positioning as a purpose-driven FinTech platform.
In June, Sezzle added new budgeting and checkout features it said are designed to help customers weather increased financial pressure. These tools included Sezzle Balance, which simplifies the repayment process for consumers through a pre-loadable digital wallet; Express Checkout, which reduces friction for returning shoppers; and Browser Extension, which prompts shoppers to earn Sezzle Spend and save with available coupons.
