Louis Saha questions Igor Tudor fit but Tottenham should hire former Everton manager
Louis Saha has questioned Igor Tudor’s fit at Tottenham Hotspur as the north London club weighs long-term options.
Igor Tudor is now gearing up for his first outing as Tottenham Hotspur boss following his appointment on an interim basis last week.
The former Juventus manager has already opened up on the style of play he is looking to implement in north London and exactly what he told his Spurs players in their first training session.
Tudor also made it clear that he has a plan for Arsenal in the north London derby this weekend, a side he has never faced in his managerial career.

Tottenham fans, as well as the club board, will be hoping that the 47-year-old can bring some stability to this Spurs side, which struggled for consistency under Thomas Frank in the first half of the season.
Louis Saha has now given his verdict on Igor Tudor, questioning whether the fit is right and casting doubt over the clarity of his tactical identity.
Speaking about the short-term nature of the appointment and the direction of the club, he told CasinoHawks: “Igor Tudor needs to give those Spurs players an electric shock. He needs to keep them on their toes because it looks like this is a short-term project.
“Tudor is a manager with strong beliefs, he has managed a lot of clubs in the space of two or three years. I do not see the fit straight away. I do not know what Tudor’s strategy or style is yet.
“Is it attacking, is it more defensive, or is it more aggressive? Does it fit straight away with the Spurs dream to play very quick, attacking football?
“They have tried Thomas Frank, who brought a more defensive way of playing. Antonio Conte came with this as well. It did not work. It did not work, so I do not know. I do not know what the club really wants or is looking for.
“They want stability. Obviously, every club wants to play in the Champions League. They want to win the Premier League, but I do not see a real path there.”
Spurs managerial picture and Marco Silva claim
Of course, Tudor’s appointment is only on an interim basis, with his contract expiring in June, which should see Tottenham back in the market for a new manager in the summer.
Several managerial names have been linked with the Tottenham job, including Marco Silva, whose contract with Fulham expires this summer as well.
Regardless, Mauricio Pochettino remains the favourite for the Spurs job for now, with Tottenham beginning work on luring him to England, but Saha has also opened up on what he thinks about Silva.
Discussing Silva’s profile and whether a move would represent progression, Saha explained his stance on the Fulham boss and the scale of the Tottenham role.
“Marco Silva has more experience in the Premier League than Oliver Glasner. It will be sad to see him go as a Fulham supporter as well, I love the club. What they have proven under Silva is that they can become a force to challenge for European places and in cups.
“They have definitely stabilised the club in the Premier League, and that is down to the work that Silva has done.
“It would definitely be a step up because Spurs’ mission is not the same. It is about going there and proving to be a contender for the Champions League, and why not the Premier League?
“At this moment in time, they are definitely out of the top six, top seven in terms of pedigree, I would think. There are a lot of teams above them at the moment, including Newcastle. So, they have to find a manager that can really deliver that. They have been managed by big managers before, and it was not working.
“With Spurs now, it is extremely difficult to predict. I do not think the interim manager is going to achieve what they are looking for. But then, I do not see a clear identity within the board or the club to actually hire the right manager because they still do not know what they want.”
