Bathurst Museum - Could it be better?
An interesting video popped up on YouTube with radio & podcaster Luke Bona doing a tour of the museum at Murray’s Corner

He asks the question is it worth it?
I’d generally think it is worth the price of admission, but I also think it does raise a good discussion point in that it could be so much more.
It’s really at the moment just a collection of rotating cars. There’s a fair bit of memoribilia around but the whole place is quite sterile, echos any time someone opens their mouth - it’s not a library.
They don’t need more cars - there are plenty - but there needs to be more info about the cars than just a little stand, the walls should be heaving with memoribilia as I’m sure they’ve got tonnes -
, the bike section for example is great - you used to be able to sit in some of the race cars in the museum - for example the 05 VK big banger, but I concede that’s probably worth too much now - the immersion room is cool but just a part, the rest of it has the feeling of a doctors waiting room at times.
What are others thoughts? It’s in a great location, the Brock statue looks the part, all the ingredients are there.
