The buildings will be replaced with a 1,334-square-foot, two-story house and a garage. The roof height will rise from 18 feet, 5 inches to 27 feet, 6 inches.
The property owners plan to file a separate application for ministerial approval of a 666-square-foot accessory dwelling unit at the front of the house, Lopez-Vega wrote.
The council approved the project at its meeting on Thursday.
