Odisha has eliminated 48 Maoists in the last five years, with 78 arrested and 82 surrendering, according to Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati. The state has seen significant success in curbing Left-wing extremism, with Kandhamal being the only remaining district with reported Maoist presence. Institutional expansion to strengthen policing is also underway.
