Top DHS propagandist Tricia McLaughlin to leave Trump administration
Tricia McLaughlin, the top spokesperson for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, will reportedly leave the Trump administration.
Sources close to DHS told Politico that the point person for defending President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown would leave the department next week.
McLaughlin was known for sparring on social media in defense of harsh tactics by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and Border Patrol officers.
DHS did not immediately name a replacement, and McLaughlin declined to comment.
A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 58% of Americans disapprove of the administration's immigration crackdown.
