Next season marks a truly historic milestone for Pontypridd RFC as we proudly celebrate 150 years of rugby tradition, passion, and community. To honour this journey, in partnership with new kit supplier RCS Teamwear, we are thrilled to unveil our 150th Anniversary Kit – a tribute to the players, supporters and generations who have shaped our story.
A Design Inspired by History
The 150th Anniversary Kit has been carefully crafted to reflect our rich heritage while embracing the modern game. The home strip draws inspiration from jersey designs from decades past, whilst the away strip embraces a new dawn…
Key details include:
Traditional colours and design on the home jersey, and a fresh design on the away jersey marking a new dawn, whilst both strips will feature our commemorative crest marking 150 years of rugby in the town.
Honouring Those Who Came Before Us
To celebrate our 150th anniversary, our commemorative shirts proudly feature the names of every Pontypridd RFC club captain throughout our incredible history.
???? Home Shirt – The captains’ names are subtly embedded within the white of the jersey.
????Away Shirt – The names are imposed into the black side panels, creating a powerful tribute to the men who have led our club.
The 150th Anniversary Kits will be worn throughout the next (2026-27) season, and supporters will soon be able to purchase your own –
This is more than a shirt – it’s 150 years of pride, passion, and leadership stitched into every thread.
???? These amazing garments, along with a range of other anniversary clothing, will be available to order from our online club shop, launching Monday 2nd March.
???? We’ll also have a pop-up stall at the Neath game on 7th March, where you can place your orders in person – with sample sizes available on the day.
It is a symbol of who we are, where we have come from, and where we are going.
As we honour our past, we remain firmly focused on the future, and that’s where RCS Teamwear come in. RCS is a Sports Teamwear supplier based in Llanelli which was launched back in 2018, and have been a growing success ever since. RCS Teamwear are constantly developing to be ahead of the industry and their aim is to provide high quality products at an affordable price, and as a Club we are delighted to enter into a new partnership with them.
