CW Cancels ‘Good Cop/Bad Cop’ After One Season – Luke Cook Reacts
The CW has canceled Good Cop/Bad Cop after only one season. One of the stars of the crime comedy-drama series, Luke Cook, has spoken out about the news and reflected on the show ending on social media.
Luke Cook Announces Good Cop/Bad Cop Cancellation on TikTok
In February 2026, Good Cop/Bad Cop star Luke Cook shared on TikTok that the show had been canceled by The CW. The series, which ran for eight episodes between February 19, 2025, and April 9, 2025, premiered almost exactly a year before the actor's announcement. It starred Cook, Leighton Meester, Devon Terrell, and Clancy Brown.
The show focused on a brother and sister, portrayed by Meester and Cook, who investigate local crimes while coping with their dysfunctional personal and professional relationship. The fact that the siblings worked for their father only further complicated their family dynamic.

As a part of his TikTok video announcing that Good Cop/Bad Cop won't be returning, Luke Cook reacted to the news. The first word that the actor spoke in the video seemed to capture the mood of the moment.
"Sad to let you know this, but we will not be doing a season two of Good Cop/Bad Cop."
Cook went on to reflect on how he felt about working on Good Cop/Bad Cop while it lasted. The actor explained how much he enjoyed every aspect of working on the crime show. Still, his disappointment that the show wouldn't continue shone through even during that part of the video as he yet again called the series ending "sad."
"I loved making that show. I loved making friends with everybody on that cast and crew and John, who wrote the show. They're all my great friends, so I'm sad we won't get to do it again."
Cook used the rest of the TikTok video to address the fans of Good Cop/Bad Cop and thank them for their support, before touching on the next steps for his career.
"Thank you to everyone who watched the show. Like, thank you. People who were like, 'Oh, there's Luke. I'm going to watch him in that show.' It's very kind. And I'm glad you loved it. Everyone wrote to me and said they loved it. And I'm so glad that you did. I'm sorry that it didn't work out, and we won't be doing more of it. But it's a tough business. Hollywood has the ability to make your dreams come true and also break your heart. And yeah, onwards and upwards. Thanks for the support."
