Jaylen Brown Makes Stance Clear On Celtics’ Play Without Jayson Tatum
Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown voiced deep pride in the Boston Celtics’ ability to thrive without Jayson Tatum, delivering an impassioned take on the team’s performance through the first half of the 2025-26 season in an interview with CLNS Media’s Noa Dalzell.
In exclusive comments, Brown made his feelings clear about the group’s effort.
“I’m proud of this team. And I would yell it from the top of this house,” Brown said.
The Celtics stand at 35-19 and occupy the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference despite Tatum’s extended absence following his Achilles tear in May 2025. Brown has carried a heavy load, averaging 29.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists while setting new career bests in several categories.
Strong play from Derrick White, Payton Pritchard and key offseason acquisitions has helped Boston remain firmly in the title conversation.
Brown also referenced a significant offseason conversation with head coach Joe Mazzulla that helped define the team’s identity and approach this year. With All-Star Weekend now complete, the Celtics look well-positioned to sustain their momentum and prepare for Tatum’s potential return later in the season.
The belief and pride within the locker room are unmistakable and could fuel another strong playoff push, with or without JT.
