Swim England Norfolk County Championships 2026
Sportspark, UEA Norwich | 17th – 18th, 31st January. 1st, 7th - 8th February 2026
As Head Coach of Dereham Otters I have been reflecting this year’s Norfolk County Championship, following the updates and photos shared across our Instagram community. The social media reports captured not only the excitement poolside but also the spirit in which our swimmers represented the club. Parents and supporters commented on the determination shown in every heat, and it was fantastic to see so many Otters caps featured in the county highlights feed.
A special mention must go to Anastasja Wall, who delivered an outstanding programme of swims. Her victories in the 1,500m and 400m freestyle, together with a superb win in the 50m butterfly, demonstrated real versatility and the rewards of months of hard training. The posts celebrating her finishes were filled with encouragement from teammates, and she has set a brilliant example for our younger swimmers about what can be achieved with focus and confidence.
We were equally proud of William Nutt, who powered to gold in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, showing impressive race skills and composure under pressure. It was also wonderful to see Dolcie Underwood and Imogen Parnell step onto the podium to collect well-earned medals, moments that were warmly applauded online by the whole Otters family. Performances like these remind us how strong our squad is becoming, and I look forward to building on this momentum as we continue through the season.
